Food For All was started in 1998 by a small group of volunteers from three Bellevue churches who noticed that many families in their community were quietly going hungry despite the region's prosperity. What began as a monthly food drive serving 30 families has grown into a full-service community pantry operating five days a week and serving more than 800 households monthly.
Our pantry operates out of a donated warehouse space generously provided by the City of Bellevue. We rely entirely on donations of food and money from the community, as well as the labor of more than 120 active volunteers.
We source food from grocery store rescue programs, regional food drives, Northwest Harvest, and direct purchases. Every item is sorted, quality-checked, and packed into household-size boxes tailored to the family's size and dietary needs. We offer options for common allergies, cultural food preferences, and diabetic-friendly items when available.
Food For All is run by a volunteer board of directors and three part-time paid staff who coordinate logistics, partnerships, and volunteer scheduling. The day-to-day operation of the pantry is carried out entirely by volunteers ranging in age from high school students completing community service hours to retired seniors who have been with us for over a decade.
