Northwest Family Resources exists to strengthen families and individuals across Pierce and Thurston counties through personalized case management, emergency assistance, and long-term stabilization services. We meet people where they are and design a plan that fits their household composition, immediate needs, and long-term goals.
Founded in 2001 by three sister organizations serving families in south Tacoma, Hilltop, and Lakewood, Northwest Family Resources unified operations in 2008 and now runs from a single 22,000 sq. ft. facility on Pacific Avenue. We hold contracts with Pierce County Human Services, Thurston County Public Health, and the state Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF).
